2025 – Resolution on Church Fellowship
Whereas Scripture teaches that fellowship is a key element in the function of the Church (Acts 2:42);
And whereas Scripture teaches that the basis of this fellowship is agreement in doctrine and in practice (I Corinthians 1:10);
And whereas Scripture teaches that we must live lives separated from worldly lifestyles and practices (I Corinthians 6:19, 20; II Corinthians 6:14-18);
And whereas Scripture teaches that we must be wise as we deal with issues that face the Church (Ephesians 5:11, II Peter 2:1-2, 3:1-2; Jude 3-4);
Be it therefore resolved that we, the members of the Independent Baptist Fellowship of North America (IBFNA), meeting in conference at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bethesda, Ohio, on June 17-19, 2025, do hereby resolve that we will endeavor to maintain the fellowship of fundamentalist, separatist Baptists as we provide fellowship, counsel, a uniform standard of biblical faith and practice, and a vehicle for cooperation in promoting the evangelistic, church-planting, and education goals of the IBFNA;
And be it further resolved that we will raise a standard for personal separation from worldliness and worldly practices reflecting the truth that believers are new creatures in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17).
